A Willmar Staple
Rick's Cycling and Sports Center's owner Rick Norsten has been selling and servicing bikes in Willmar since the 1970s. After working for the previous owners (the Nelsen family) for 8 years, Rick and his father purchased the bike shop business in 1983 and named it Rick's Schwinn and Sports Center.
The Parson's Building, which Rick purchased in 1999, has housed the business since the beginning. The building has a rich history dating back 100 years when it was originally a blacksmith shop.
Keeping With The Times
In 2003 Rick renamed the business Rick's Cycling and Sports Center in order to better represent the variety of products carried, and over time the showroom and shop more than quadrupled in size to what it is today.
Now you'll find an assortment of Trek, Giant/Liv, Electra, and Sun bicycles and trikes, along with a line of Spirit Fitness equipment. In addition to bikes and fitness equipment, Rick's is well stocked with bicycle accessories, parts, and apparel representing several popular brands including Bontrager, Saris, Topeak, Giant, Burley, Onewheel, Shimano, and Park Tool.
